Retro City Rampage, Dark Room Sex Game, Johann Sebastian Joust, and more push the boundaries of indie game development.
At GDC, a panel of four speakers covered a wide variety of topics under the indie games banner. While all four gave wildly different and interesting talks, two of the speakers, Brian Provinciano and Dajana Dimovska, covered games involving the Wii. Provinciano, founder of Vblank Entertainment, covered the development of his homebrew NES creation, Grand Theftendo, and its transformation into Retro City Rampage, an upcoming WiiWare/XBLA title. Dimovska, a producer representing the Copenhagen Game Collective, detailed an exploration of games not bound to screens and monitors.
